Opening Ceremony
Join us for the Opening Ceremony to launch Hidden Hearth @Lisnavagh. John Cantwell and Karen Ward of Slí An Chroí will alongside Aoife Ní hEochaidh Reamáinn offer a powerful Fire Ceremony to synchronise and connect with the energies of Autumn and the end of the Celtic Wheel of the Year as we head towards Samhain.
Our ancestors gathered in community to celebrate their harvest and we too have much to be grateful for and to celebrate over these exciting two days together. All are welcome as guests and exhibitors come together to ponder our personal, communal, and global intentions and these may be added to over the weekend as Aoife and her glorious team of FireKeepers will tend this place of community over the weekend.

Join us once more to complete our fun, informative and educational time together over the weekend. John Cantwell and Karen Ward of Slí An Chroí are honoured to close the Hidden Hearth Festival @ Lisnavagh ceremonially as we give thanks for all the amazing experiences over the magical two days. fostering deep personal affirmation and groundedness. Many people say that this workshop is like a homecoming they have always longed for. Calling upon ancient
Nature-based techniques, John will guide you along healing stepping stones of the shaman and deeper into your unique Heart.

“I believe we are all by nature, self healing organisms and that shamanic practice calls us to do so for our own betterment and that of the Earth. The level of connection and sacredness we can experience when we do this, for me can only be called spiritual. I am made to feel safe by shamanism as it asks me to learn only from my own experience while it hands me the means to realise my destiny. When I sit with shamans from other cultures, despite us often not sharing a common spoken language, our conversations are full and dynamic. Such is the language of our hearts.”
Aoife is a daughter of the land of Éiriú, devoted to remembering the ancestral wisdom & magic of her native land. Working in close relationship with the land, ancient ones and sacred sites, Aoife is an eternal student of the Earth and ways of old.
Her passion for and relationship with the land and ways of Éire channels through ceremony, fire, ancestral connection, native plant medicine, crafts as well as traditional music and dance.
Aoife is a sacred fire-keeper. Tending to the hearth of Éiriú, she facilitates spaces of ancestral reconnection, healing and remembrance. She facilitates community fire ceremonies throughout the wheel of the year, as well as at gatherings and festivals.
Aoife will be curating the sacred fire space at Hidden Hearth with her wonderful team of fire guardians. This fire will be tended to and will burn throughout hidden hearth, offering a sanctuary for healing and celebration. Aoife will also be teaching a variation of the ancient Irish Céili dance known as the ''bonfire dance'' around the fire accompanied by live traditional Irish music. All are welcome to join this workshop with or without previous dance experience.
