Sinead Walsh - Forest School

Forest School is an all year round holistic nature based education system. Practitioners are professionally trained and calculated risk is encouraged to assist in the growth of the young person. The space is created for young people to develop positive relationships with themselves, others and the natural world around them.

Sinead has always been connected to nature from a young age and all things outdoors growing up near the sea, the woods and the Comeragh mountains in Dungarvan Co Waterford.  She has been a primary teacher for almost 30 years and had specialised in working with children who learn and see the world differently.

She set up her own Forest School in 2018 ,and runs programs for all ages during the school holidays .Last Summer she held her first teenage camp .

She is very passionate about allowing children to be free to reconnect with nature , in a non competitve environment.  She is a big believer in play for all ages and would advocate that time in nature is a great healer.
